Hi! I'm Cameron, a creative/copywriter. Book educated at San Diego State, street educated in rousing Boise, Id. Some might say growing up in the Treasure Valley hinders almost all creative stimulation, but let me assure you, there’s nothing more stimulating than a stroll down to the local mercantile.
After college I completed The Book Shop School for Ads, though my experience is unique. I began writing as the only English copywriter in a Hispanic/multicultural agency where I worked with several top tier brands and learned from extremely talented people from all over the world. In my situation, finding a creative insight has taught me to search even deeper as those targets spanned multiple cultures. Not only was I required to understand my own personal market, but I look to discover a creative opportunity within a market of which I didn't resonate. While there I won two Lions as well as several other awards and I pushed smart award-winning creative for the California Milk Processor Board (got milk?), Totino's Pizza, Comcast/XFINITY, JCPenney, Valvoline, Toshiba and the Alzheimer’s Association.
I've been lucky to bring that knowledge with me as I grow.
With many years managing and marketing for retail spaces, I have a foundation cemented in ground-level storytelling – creating personal/emotional relationships between brands and people. Now, I simply want to continue building those connections, just on a larger scale.
I believe in the untamable power of good creativity. That creativity can leave a more lasting impression than a first kiss. An insightful and conceptual copywriter, I love building brands and telling great stories. Whether General Market, Hispanic Market or Total Market, good creativity is our common language.
